Coach Brothers kneels on the football field near the tire tracks.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Officials at Nashville Christian School are trying to figure out who drove onto their football and soccer field Friday night and caused thousands of dollars in damages.
"It's sad. There are a lot of people that put a lot of time and effort and personal resources into our field," said head football Coach Jeff Brothers.
Coach Brothers first discovered the dozens of deep tire tracks in the fields on Saturday morning. He believes it was a smaller car or SUV that drove onto the Bermuda grass and tore it up.
"We're up against the start of the season in a few weeks, and there's going to be some scars, and we'll deal with it, but at the same time it's unfortunate," he adds.
Police and school officials don't have any idea who caused the damage, and so far they don't have any leads.
"You can already see the grass that was pulled up, like a divot on a golf course, it doesn't grow back," Jeff says looking at the torn up field.
The football team is planning on having a fundraiser to help pay for new pads and helmets that players desperately need, but now Coach Brothers thinks that money will have to go to field repairs.
"We'll repair it and recover. It's just going to set us back a little bit, but we'll move on."
