NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The Nashville Predators have signed restricted free agent forward Jack Maclellan to a one-year, two-way contract worth $600,000 at the National Hockey League level and $70,000 at the American Hockey League level.

The 24-year-old signed as a free agent in March and stayed at the NHL level for the remainder of the 2011-12 season and playoffs.

The Calgary, Alberta, native was a 2012 All-Ivy First-Team Selection and All-ECAC Second-Team Selection after leading Brown University's Bears in points for three straight seasons.

The 5'11, 188-pound center also captained the Bears as a senior. He was named to the Lowe's Senior CLASS Second Team for being a "total student-athlete who used his platform in athletics to make a positive impact as a leader in the community."
