Fmr. Commission Sentenced To 12 Years In Prison

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- A Former Robertson County Commissioner has been sentenced on charges of fraud and theft.

On Thursday, a Davidson County Criminal Court sentenced Edward Shannon Polen 12 years in prison after he admitted to defrauding a man of more than $361,000. During an April 2012 court case the victim told the court that Polen had told him he was investing in repossessed farm equipment that would be turned around and sold for a profit, but he never received any payment.

Polen was ordered to serve the entire 12-year sentence.
