GALLATIN, Tenn.- Officials at Volunteer State Community College broke ground Friday on a new Allied Health building.
The new $10 million facility will include classrooms and labs for the school's EMT program and several others. Allied health programs are among the most popular at Vol State
180 EMT students graduated in 2012, and officials say they have to turn away twice as many applicants because they don't have room for them. The building is expected to be completed in late 2013.
