Protest At Marshall County Animal Shelter

LEWISBURG, Tenn. - Protesters are planning a demonstration Saturday to protest the euthanization of 13 dogs at Marshall County's Animal Shelter almost two weeks ago.

The protest is set for noon at the Lewisburg Town Square. It has been organized by the group Pit Bull Awareness of Tennessee.

The same group launched an online petition demanding an investigation of the Lewisburg Animal shelter after the dogs were put down.

The group is asking the Lewisburg Mayor, City Council, and Lewisburg Animal Shelter Animal Control Officers to stop killing the dogs in its care.
