MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Officials say ten storage units were
damaged at Security Self Storage at 405 West Northfield Boulevard after a fire
ignited in one of the storage units around 2:00 Saturday afternoon.
According to Murfreesboro Fire & Rescue Department, five
units responded on the initial call. When they arrived, they saw heavy smoke and
flames. Firefighters immediately began their
attack, but the fire quickly spread to 10 units in the building.
Seven emergency crews from the Murfreesboro Fire &
Rescue Department responded to the scene before it was all done. According to
officials, they successfully put out the fire without any injuries.
Murfreesboro Fire & Rescue Department Fire Marshal's
Office was called to conduct a routine investigation.
