NASHVILLE, Tenn.- The
woman who triggered a deadly wrong-way crash has now been indicted for
vehicular homicide.
Friday, a grand jury
charged Rebecca Benson for driving drunk when she went down the wrong-way on
I-65 back in February.
Investigators say she
slammed head-on into a van driven by 29-year-old Steffanie Leonard. She died at
the scene. Police believe Benson was so inebriated, she thought she was in a
taxi cab instead of her own car.
She could face eight to
twelve years behind bars if convicted.
