SUMNER COUNTY, Tenn.- The Sumner County jail was put on lockdown Sunday after an inmate hit a guard.
Sheriff's Deputies said an officer was handing out apples to inmates when Anton Golladay allegedly punched the guard in the nose. The guard was taken to the hospital for the injury to his nose, but that wasn't the only incident. Guards say during the commotion, another inmate, Zachary Woods hit a sprinkler head flooding his cell with soap and water causing the floor to become slick.
A different officer slipped and fell hurting his wrist and hand. The jail was put on lockdown until everything could be sorted out.
Both inmates are now facing additional charges.
