Car Fire Slows Interstate Traffic

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- A car fire tied up a busy portion of I-40 Sunday night.

Just after 7:00 p.m. a smoke cloud hovered over the interstate. The eastbound lanes of Interstate 40, south of downtown, were reduced to one lane while firefighters put out the blaze. Crews were able to put the fire out quickly.

No one was injured, and the interstate was back open about two hours later.
