SUMMERTOWN, Tenn. - One teen was killed and four other seriously injured in an early morning crash in Lawrence County.
The crash happened on Railroad Bed Pike near State Highway 45 around 2 a.m. Monday. Police said that the teens ran the stop sign at Railroad Bed Pike and then hit a tree, causing them to spin around before hitting another tree near the intersection.
Eighteen-year-old Justin Sparkman was killed on impact. The other four teens in the car-- 20-year-old Keith Brown, 19-year-old Mikal Woolridge, 18-year-old Holly Wray, and 20-year-old Dylan Brugmann-- were all injured in the crash. Only one of the passengers was wearing a seatbelt.
