State Rep Says Wrong Ballots Found In Dickson County
DICKSON COUNTY, Tenn.- State Representative David Shepard said there has been an apparent ballot mix-up in Dickson County.
Shepard said he contacted the state election coordinator during early voting, after two voters there got the wrong ballot. This comes after issues with the Shelby County early voting came to light last week where more than 2,000 ballots were cast in the wrong races.
"This serious revelation underscores our reasons for seeking a statewide review of early voting ballots," said Brandon Puttbrese, communications director for the Tennessee Democratic Party. "It's obvious the wrong ballot blunder is much bigger than state officials wanted to admit, but there has to be accountability in our elections.
State election officials said the problem in Shelby County has been fixed. No other information has been released about the Dickson County ballots.
