NASHVILLE, Tenn.- A Metro Police officer was involved in a crash with several other vehicles late Monday afternoon.

Officials said the wreck occurred on Interstate 40 westbound and Stewarts Ferry Pike. Westbound traffic on the interstate was affected as one lane was blocked.

Witnesses said that several cars and possibly one motorcycle were involved in the crash. A police spokesperson said the officer involved in the wreck was not seriously injured.
