Police Search For Restaurant Flasher In Cookeville

Posted: Updated:

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Police in Cookeville are searching for a man who has flashed two unsuspecting victims at a Sonic Drive-In.

Police said the most recent incident happened on Saturday, July 28th at 7:15 a.m. A young female employee told officers she went into the restroom and was shocked to see a man "sprawled out on the toilet with his pants down."

She screamed and the guy started laughing before running out the door.

A similar incident happened at the same Sonic on Saturday, June 23rd at 8:25 a.m., according to police.

"The thing that concerns us even more about this one is that's a confined area," said Cookeville Police Major Nathan Honeycutt. "All of our experience here tells us that criminals that do this type of behavior and conduct often escalate to crimes which are worse, sometimes much worse."

The suspect was described as a tall, white male with brown hair and beard. He was driving a 1990s Ford green pick-up truck with an extended cab.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact Putnam County CrimeStoppers at (931) 520-7867.
