Posted: Updated:

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) -- The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation arrested five former employees at a nursing home in Johnson City over allegations of mistreatment of dependent adults.

According to a news release, a Washington County grand jury indicted the five people earlier this month, and they were arrested on Monday and Tuesday.

Rebecca Blevins, Jessica Ketterman and Jennifer Ketterman, all of Elizabethton, were each indicted on two counts of abuse, neglect or exploitation of a dependent adult. Amanda Adolphi of Gray and Bonita Scott of Chucky were indicted on one count of failing to report abuse, neglect or exploitation of a dependent adult.

The five people were working as certified nursing assistants at the Appalachian Christian Village. The TBI said they were accused of using syringes to squirt water at residents to irritate them.
