WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Tenn.- Students in Williamson County have been encouraged to BYOT this year: Bring Your Own Technology.

Cellphones, laptops and tablets, recently considered a distraction and banned from the classroom have been invited back for use as a resource. School leaders believe that students can benefit by integrating new technology into classroom learning.

Williamson County Schools will allow students to access the internet through a secure network provided by the school. Parents, students and staff will all be required to sign a technology contract agreeing to the terms of safe internet usage as defined by the school.
