Vacant Buildings Catch Fire On Jefferson Street

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Fire officials believe a two-alarm fire at two vacant buildings Friday morning is suspicious.

Firefighters found a business fully involved just before 8 a.m. at a building on Jefferson Street at 14th Avenue North. Another vacant building behind the business was also on fire with flames extending into the attic.

Due to the intense fire and heat, fire crews could only fight the fire for a short period of time.

It was knocked down within a half hour. No injuries were reported.

The fire investigator was on the scene Friday morning to try to determine the cause of the fire.
