Sales Tax Holiday Underway In Tennessee

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The annual Sales Tax Holiday runs Friday through Sunday in Tennessee.

During this time customers won't have to pay state or local sales tax on clothing, school and art supplies, and computers under $1,500.

Anyone can take advantage of the holiday.

The first Sales Tax Holiday in Tennessee was in 2006, saving Tennesseans about $15 million. Since then, Tennesseans have enjoyed $8 to $10 million in tax savings each holiday.
