NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Longtime Titans linebacker Keith Bulluck has officially announced his retirement from the NFL.
Bulluck, who played 10 seasons with the Titans and one season with the New York Giants, signed a contract with the Titans Friday, and will formally submit his retirement to the NFL Saturday.
The 35-year-old was a first-round pick out of Syracuse in 2000 and grew up in New City, N.Y., about 30 miles north of where the Giants play in East Rutherford, N.J.
Bulluck appeared in 135 consecutive games from November 12, 2001 against the Baltimore Ravens to December 20, 2009 against the Miami Dolphins. Bulluck scored six total touchdowns during his 10-year career with the Titans.
A knee injury ended his 2009 season, and the Titans did not re-sign him. He played for the Giants in 2010, but did not play last year.
