Man Charged For Attempted Rape In Nashville Hotel

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Metro Police have charged a man with trying to rob and rape a woman inside a hotel in West Nashville.

Police said on Friday morning around 8:30 a.m. 38-year old Harold Eugene Johnson attempted to rape and rob a 42 year old guest in the hallway of the Best Western on Division Street.

Sex crimes detectives responded to the scene and witnesses and victims led them to Johnson.

Officials said they found him hiding inside his car under a car cover in the driveway of his home on 14th Avenue South. Police said Johnson will be charged with attempted aggravated rape and attempted aggravated rape.
