NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Crews have recovered the body of a man they said accidentally drowned in the Cumberland River Sunday morning.
The victim was discovered in the river, near the Brookmeade Greenway which starts on Charlotte Avenue in West Nashville. The identity of the man is being withheld until next of kin can be contacted. Police believe he was homeless.
According to detectives, no foul play is suspected at this time; however, it is still an active investigation pending autopsy results.
