Funeral Planned For Airman Who Died In Oklahoma

Posted: Updated:

COLUMBIA, Tenn. (AP) - Funeral services are set Wednesday for an Air Force airman from Tennessee who died in his dorm at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma last month.

The Columbia Daily Herald reported that services for 20-year-old Airman 1st Class David M. Walker II will be held at the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel and he will be buried with full military honors at Maury Memorial Gardens.

The Air Force has not yet released the cause of Walker's July 31 death.

On Monday, residents of Columbia and Maury County lined the streets to show their support as his body was brought to the funeral home in a procession led by the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Columbia Police and Maury County sheriff's deputies.
