PUTNAM COUNTY, Tenn. - Authorities in Putnam County hope to find the man who attacked and robbed an elderly woman.

Police said the 72-year-old woman was on the phone talking to a friend on her porch at an apartment on 3rd Street in Cookeville when a man jumped her and demanded pills.

He then slapped her in the face, and knocked her down.

The woman then took him into her bedroom where he grabbed three bottles of pills and her purse and then left.

The friend on the phone heard it all and called 911.
