Woman At Funeral Spots Jewelry Stolen From Her

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - A Memphis woman has been arrested after her aunt recognized jewelry she was wearing at a family funeral as stolen.

Estine Boyce told police after the July 25 funeral that pieces 25-year-old Jerrika Boyce was wearing matched jewelry stolen from her home a month earlier.

The Commercial Appeal reported Memphis Police checked pawn shops and found a pair of earrings the aunt identified as hers. The pawn ticket was dusted for fingerprints and they matched those of the niece. Police arrested Jerrika Boyce on Monday, charging her with aggravated burglary and theft of property.

Jerrika Boyce was released on bond from the Shelby County women's detention center Tuesday. A listing for Jerrika Boyce indicated an unpublished phone number.
