NASHVILLE, Tenn. - More than 40 volunteers spent their morning building and installing desks at Apollo Middle School.
Tools for Schools, a local nonprofit organization, brought volunteers to Apollo early Wednesday morning to build desks for the school's auditorium.
"If it hadn't been for Tools for Schools and their efforts to find the supporters for the project, Apollo would not have had the funds to refurbish the desks here," said Shawn Lawrence, Assistant Principal at Apollo Middle School.
Schneider Electric also provided at $2,000 grant for the project. The company has teamed up with Tools for Schools for the past five years.
