Police Investigate Two Convenience Store Robberies

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Police are searching for a suspect they believe robbed two convenience stores in Nashville.

Officials said that the first robbery occurred at the Daily's at Highway 70S in Bellevue around 4:50 a.m. Wednesday. The suspect entered the store armed with a knife and struggled with the clerk after demanding money. The clerk was cut by the knife, although not seriously. The suspect took six packs of cigarettes and fled in a red car.

The second robbery occurred at the Mapco on Harding Pike in Belle Meade. Police said the robbery was very similar to the one at the Daily's earlier in the morning. The suspect again entered the store with a knife and demanded cash from the clerk. In this robbery no injuries were reported and the suspect fled the scene with a small amount of cash.

Anyone with information was asked to call Metro Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
