Two Men In Custody In 11-Year-Old Murder Case

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Eleven years ago, a man was killed on his doorstep. On Wednesday, the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department said the two men alleged to be responsible for the South Nashville homicide are now both behind bars.

Darron Fletcher, 41, and Rickie Anderson, 39, now face first degree murder charges for the December 8, 2001 shooting death of Angel Dominguez inside an apartment on Plum Nelly Circle. A witness said Dominguez answered a knock on the door and was confronted by two men. At least one of those men was armed and shot Dominguez. Police said robbery is considered a likely motive.

Fletcher was arrested this week at the intersection of Fain Street and Fairfield Avenue.  Fletcher initially lied about who he was, but his identity was confirmed through a mobile fingerprint device. Anderson has been behind bars since last March.
