Police: Man Threatened To Blow Up BMI Building

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A man has been arrested for allegedly threatening to blow up the BMI building on Music Row.

Police said William Johncock threatened to hire a hitman to kill a man who works at Broadcast Music Inc. and left several voicemails saying that he would have "the Iranians" blow up the building.

Another employee reported similar threats last month.

It's not clear how Johncock is connected to BMI.

He was held at the Davidson County jail on several charges.
