NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The family of a man who was shot to death last month outside an apartment in south Nashville is offering a $5,000 reward for information in the case.
Shorish Faraj, 28, and his girlfriend, Guadalupe Garcia, 46, were returning to her apartment on Paragon Mills Drive around 9:30 p.m. on July 17 when a gunman approached them from behind and opened fire.
Both were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where Faraj died. Garcia was treated and released.
Police said a vehicle of interest in the homicide is a gray or silver Impala with a spoiler, possibly driven by a black man with dreadlocks.
The $5,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction will be offered through October 7. Additionally, Crime Stoppers offers up to $1,000 for information.
