HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn.- An elderly Hendersonville couple is happy to have their only means of transportation back after it was stolen minutes after they bought it.
Larry McFadden said when he was driving this used Nissan pick-up home a back tire blew out. The spare was flat, so he called for help and left with a family member to get the spare inflated. When they returned roughly half-an-hour later someone had towed the truck away.
McFadden then saw it at a nearby gas station and demanded it back before calling police. He believes they were just going to sell his truck for scrap.
"No question in my mind. They was out there to steal some vehicle and they found mine and they got it,' said McFadden.
Detectives already have two people in custody charged with theft and are looking for a third. They say the group could be responsible for stealing other abandoned cars.
