HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. – A 17-year-old has been charged with arson and vandalism for allegedly setting fire to mailboxes at a Hendersonville apartment complex.

Firefighters were called to the Waterview Apartments on Waterview Circle around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. The structure that housed the mailboxes was on fire, and there was a fire on the porch of a nearby apartment.

The damage to a vehicle and apartment complex was estimated to be more than $33,000.

The 17-year-old was charged in Juvenile Court with arson, vandalism over $10,000 and vandalism over $500.

No one was hurt.
