Metro Officer Involved In Crash

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- A Metro Police officer was involved in a crash in Hermitage Friday.

The wreck happened at the intersection of Lebanon Road and Central Pike in Hermitage around 2 p.m. No injuries were reported, but the officer's car was seriously damaged.

A Metro Police spokesperson said the officer attempted to make a U-turn for a traffic stop and collided with a truck. The officer involved in the crash was transported by ambulance to a local hospital as a precaution.
