NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A pedestrian was seriously injured in a crash near downtown Nashville Wednesday night.
The wreck occurred just after 9:30 p.m. near the intersection of Monroe Street and Rosa Parks Boulevard.
According to police at the scene, the pedestrian walked out into the street and the driver did not have time to stop.
Officials said that the victim was seriously injured and was taken by ambulance to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
The victim's name and age were not released.
