HUMPHREYS COUNTY, Tenn. – Authorities in Humphreys County said two inmates who walked away from trash collection detail last month have been captured in Louisiana.
Dustin Oscar Allen and Dustin Wayne Jones were taken into custody Wednesday night in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Authorities said the pair were part of a group of supervised, non-violent offenders who were in McEwen picking up after an annual festival on July 30 when they disappeared.
Allen had been jailed on a charge of Violation of Probation for Manufacturing of Methamphetamine. Jones was in jail on a charge of Violation of Probation for Theft.
Both now face a charge of escape.
