Escaped Minimum-Custody Inmate Captured

ONLY, Tenn. – The Department of Correction re-captured a minimum-custody inmate who walked off from a minimum-security facility in Hickman County on Thursday morning.

Officials said that several law enforcement agencies tracked 39-year-old Calvin Reeves to a hotel just off Murfreesboro Road in Nashville around 4 p.m. Thursday.

He had been discovered missing just after 9 a.m. from the Turney Center Industrial Complex-Annex in Only, Tennessee.

Reeves was serving a 30-year sentence for non-violent offenses including drug convictions out of Putnam County. He would have been eligible for release as early as 2016.

Reeves will face escape charges.
