Deadly Crash Blocks SR 840 In Williamson County

FRANKLIN, Tenn. – A driver has been killed in a single vehicle crash that has blocked lanes of State Route 840 eastbound in Williamson County.

The crash happened around noon Thursday in the eastbound lanes at mile marker 37 (Arno Road) in Franklin. The Tennessee Highway Patrol said the driver of a Honda Civic lost control and left the roadway, the crashed into a concrete pillar.

So far, there has been no word on what caused the crash, and police have not identified the driver.

Both of the inside (left) lanes of eastbound and westbound traffic have been blocked. The outside lanes remained open.

The Tennessee Department of Transportation estimated it would be cleared by 2 p.m.
