Hazmat Spill Reported In South Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- A Hazmat team has been called out to local Nashville business after reports of a large ammonia spill.

The spill was reported at 2799 Foster Ave, the Carma Performance a mechanic shop. A police Sergeant on scene said that canisters of ammonia leaked because after an employee made a mistake in tapping them.

Several surrounding small businesses were evacuated as a precaution. No injuries were reported.
