Two Franklin Residents Arrested For Creating Counterfeit Bills

FRANKLIN, Tenn.- A Franklin man and his neighbor are in jail accused of making and using fake $20-dollar bills.

Police said all the men used were a photocopier, paper and some scissors to make sheets of $20s. The counterfeit bills were used at two area restaurants.

Dustin Ritchie was charged with making the counterfeit money in his apartment and then giving them to his neighbor 38-year- old Latoya Lane. Lane used them at a Starbucks and a Sonic police were able to track them both down and get the fake money off Franklin streets.

Both were arrested and booked into the Williamson County Jail. Police said both have a long criminal history in Franklin.
