NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Metro Police arrested two home burglary suspects a short time after they broke into a home on Granny Wright Lane.
Police said a Metro Officer pulled over 30-year-old Kevin Thomas for speeding and during the traffic stop noticed that Thomas was acting strangely. During a search of the car, the officer found un prescribed Xanax and other pills on both Thomas and his passenger 28-year-old Ronnie Garrett. The officer also found two weapons and items that appeared to have come from a recent home break-in.
Both men were charged with aggravated burglary, felon in possession of a weapon and felony drug possession. Police said Thomas had previous convictions for theft, statutory rape and evading arrest.
He was being held on a $70,000 bond. Garrett also had previous convictions for aggravated burglary, burglary, theft and vehicle theft. He was held on a $75,000 bond.
