SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. – A movie theater in Springfield was searched Friday morning after a bomb threat.
The Carmike Corporate Office in Georgia alerted the Carmike Cinema 1 on South Main Street about the threat around 9:15 a.m., and the manager called 911.
The headquarters had apparently received a call from someone about numerous bombs planted at several of their theaters across the country.
Police were called out to search the building, but had not found anything as of 11 a.m.
A similar threat was reported at a Carmike theater in Lexington, Kentucky.
