15-Year-Old On Bicycle Struck By Car In Kentucky

WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – A 15-year-old boy was seriously injured after being struck by a car while riding his bicycle on a Warren County, Kentucky road.

The Warren County Sheriff's Office said 37-year-old Amy Webster Oakland was driving on Pondsville Road in Smiths Grove around 7:30 p.m. Thursday when she topped a hill and struck the teenager, who was riding his bike. She told investigators she was unable to avoid the collision.

The teen was treated at the scene, and then taken by LifeFlight to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. His condition was not released.

There was no word if any charges would be filed.
