Man Fatally Shot In East Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Metro Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man in east Nashville on Friday afternoon.

The call came in just before 1:15 p.m. in the 100 block of South 6th Street. Police said that 18-year-old Marcus Lawrence, was standing outside the Parkway Terrace public housing development when two men came out of a car and shot him.

The men fled the scene in a tan or gold Chevrolet Suburban with tinted windows. Witnesses told police that four persons were inside the SUV. Police described the gunmen as black men in their teens or 20s with dreadlocks.

Anyone with information about this crime was asked to call CRIME STOPPERS at 74-CRIME.
