NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Crews from the Nashville Electric Service were hard at work all day Friday in the Donelson area repairing power lines knocked down by storms.
Late Thursday night, severe thunderstorms with strong straight line winds moved into the mid-state. Winds of up to 80mph were reported in some areas. At midnight over 32,000 NES customers were left without power due to the weather.
By 4 p.m. Friday just over 1,000 residents were still without power. Crews worked through the night to get power restored to NES customers and said that by Friday night all power within the system should be restored.
