NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Runners
got a little dirty Saturday morning for the Music City Mud Run. The three-mile
course in Madison's Peeler Park had people jumping, crawling and swimming
through a muddy obstacle course. This is the first year for the run, but after
a good turn-out, organizers say they'll do it again.
"A little bit more mud
then I expected. It was a good run. I've done the Warrior Dash before, and this
was definitely more muddy," said one of the runners. "It was a lot more
challenging because the mud is hard to move through. I slipped a couple times,
but I was ok."
The
event was organized by Centerstone and their teen pregnancy prevention
initiative. They put signs along the course that had health and safety tips.
They also hosted a health fair right after.
