NASHVILLE, Tenn.- It's a
competition for the chance to perform on the legendary Ryman stage. Saturday,
at the Red Rooster Music Hall, dozens of local seniors took part in the Silver Stars Talent Competition,
sponsored by HealthSpring.
Musicians, singers, even
yodelers over the age of 60 are all competing for the opportunity to perform at
the Ryman this October and take home $5,000 in cash.
"I may never become a star
or anything, but just being here and doing this, it's just made my day and my whole
time of coming here. I really appreciate
it, I love it," said Charles Thibault, Silver Stars Competitor.
More auditions are being
held Sunday.
