NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Guests were evacuated from the Renaissance Hotel after a man set off the fire alarm.
The Nashville Fire Department got the call just after 3:00 a.m. Sunday morning after fire alarms went off in the hotel on Commerce Street. People reported smoke on the second floor.
Once firefighters got inside, they discovered that the alarm had been set off when someone sprayed a sprinkler with a fire extinguisher.
Police arrested 27-year-old Joseph Steen from Ohio. Police said he was very intoxicated and now faces felony vandalism charges.
