COPPERHILL, Tenn. (AP) - Police have arrested a suspect in a Polk County shooting that left three people dead.

WTVC-TV reported that George Waters has been charged with three counts of murder in the shootings that occurred Friday night in the Copperhill community. He was being held at the Polk County jail on Sunday. Online jail records did not list an attorney for him.

Police said the shootings happened outside a home on a gravel road that has five houses which are all occupied by members of the same family. They said there may have been a property dispute.

Albert Allen, who lives near the home where the shooting occurred, told WTVC that his relatives have had a long-running dispute over where the property line runs.

The Chattanooga Times Free Press identified the victims as 59-year-old Wanda Waters, her son, 40-year-old Marion D. Waters, and Wanda Waters' husband, Willard J. Waters, who was 61.
