COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Big things are expected at Tennessee Tech after the Golden Eagles' first playoff appearance and first Ohio Valley Conference championship since 1975.

The Golden Eagles have seven starters back, including senior quarterback Tre Lamb to run the no-huddle offense. Lamb passed for 17 TDs and had a 65.2 completion percentage.

Senior defensive lineman Marcus Edwards, with 9 1/2 tackles for loss and five sacks, joins defensive backs Will Johnson and Austin Tallant as Preseason All-OVC picks.

Watson Brown, the 2011 OVC Coach of the Year, enters his sixth season at Tennessee Tech and 28th as a Division I head coach.

Tennessee Tech opens with Aug. 30 against Hampton and Sept. 6 hosting North Greeneville before traveling cross country to play Oregon of the Pac-12 on Sept. 15.
