18-Wheeler Hauling Cows Overturns In Giles County

GILES COUNTY, Tenn. – An 18-wheeler hauling cows overturned in Giles County on Friday morning, prompting the interstate to be shut down.

The crash occurred around 6 a.m. on Interstate 65 North at mile marker 19. The trailer overturned off the side of the road.

Crews were able to offload the 67 cows inside the trailer, and uprighted it. Sky 5 HD showed damage to the trailer.

No injuries were reported.

The Tennessee Department reported that the northbound lanes were blocked from mile marker 14 to 22. They expected it to be cleared by 9 a.m.
