Officers Investigate Bizarre Text Messages

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - Police in Cookeville are trying to solve a mystery after a strange text message was sent.

Earlier in the week, two residents alerted officers saying they received a bizarre text message that read "Ok, I hid the body ... now what?". Both people, who didn't know each other, said they also didn't know the number the text was coming from.

When police tried calling the number a message said it was no long connected. So they sent a text instead and got a reply from a person claiming it was a joke. Officers were able to trace the phone to the Bunker Hill Road area but still haven't been able to talk to the owner.
