HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. – Police want to find the person who fired a shot during a home invasion in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.

A Hopkinsville woman reported to police that someone kicked in the front door of her home on Shipp Street, while her four small children were asleep.

The woman screamed, and the intruder allegedly fired a single shot that hit the frame of her bedroom door.

The intruder then ran from the home.

No one was injured.

Police are not clear on a motive, and it didn't appear as though anything was taken.

They are working with the victim to see if they can get a good description of the intruder.
